Subframes Bent

Recommended Posts

My subframe is bent to where one side is bowed out a little bit and the other side is bent inward a tad.

I really dont want to spend $300 on a new subframe cause i can ride with the bent one fine, but is there a way to maybe bend it back or do you think i can send it to a shop and have them bend it back?

Thanx in advance for all the replies.

Remove your seat, airbox, and fender then grab a pipe or something long for leverage and position it through the subframe so you can bend it back the other way.

Is that going to make it more weak so next time i wad up its gonna bend easier?

And do i keep the subframe on the bike when i bend it back?

Yes, you can keep it on. It will only really weaken it if the subframe is bent ALOT. Otherwise, no harm.
