SM to S Wheels, Chain Guide Question

Recommended Posts

I bought some used S wheels on Ebay and the other necessary items from my Suzuki dealer and Dennis Kirk.

After:

Now for my question. I'm running 15/51 gearing with a 116 link chain, cut down to 115 links. In the below picture the chain on the bottom of the sproket feeds up into a guide, but doesn't go straight from the bottom of the sprocket, rather goes up the sproket a bit, then continues straight from there.

Is this acceptable, or should I be looking for a different chain guide?

Thanks,

WGW

I was trying to get close to the E gearing. I want the ability to easily loft the front wheel over obstacles in S mode, yet cruise at 70mph in SM mode and keep the RPMs down (running 15/38 in SM mode). I don't want to fuss with removing the CS sprocket when switching between SM & S modes (gear puller, lock-tite, all that).

you cant have 115 links.its 114.

Thanks for the correction.
