fuel /air screw adjustment

I just removed my carb on my stock '05 400ex. I installed a #42 pilot jet as per TT'ers (for hard starting) and now I want to adjust my fuel/air screw out to 2 1/4 turns (for proper idle and no backfire) but it is not a slotted head. The head looks round with one small flat spot on it. Is there a special tool for this or is this a cover? The carb is a stock keihin that comes on a '05 400ex Honda. Please help, or can I just leave the screw at factory setting.
