xr80/100

Recommended Posts

I know this question has been asked 100 times, but can a crf100's top end (piston, head, cylinder, etc.) bolt onto and 80 motor?

THX:thumbsup:

Use the 80 front sprocket. Might want to mess with a different rear. The 80 has a smaller wheel but then it also has a smaller rear sprocket so it may work out ok for you. Then there's the wider gearing of the 100's transmission. I aint going to do the math to figure if you'll be end up going faster or slower.

Also, if you use the 100 carb (you should) you'll need the 100 air boot too. You can buy a complete 100 airbox and boot on ebay all the time. But yeah, use the 80 front sprocket and chain.
