Pink Store (Bull Gap) Owner stabbed

Recommended Posts

Sadly, some rotten so&so has attacked, stabbed and left for dead the owner of the Pink Store (2/19/07). Sue is a very vocal supporter of the ORV community, working to open county roads to ORVs among many things. Last I know is that she is in intensive care in a Saginaw hospital.

Her store is located on M-33 between Mio and Rose City and has direct trail access allowing ORV riders to get food and fuel without leaving the trail.

The store is indefinitely closed at this time.

Such a tragedy.

Some local news on the event:

Sue is doing better and things are looking up. They are having a benefit dinner for her this Sunday (3/3/07) at the HillCrest Lounge on M-33 just north of Rose City (just south of her store).

Is there a way we can contribute to this, besides going there?

This is the only way I know of, off hand and it's through the ATV OffRoad Club of Mich (good folks):

http://atvoffroad.net/forums/showthread.php?t=4261

Hello, donations, cards and letters may be forwarded to:

ATV Offroad Club

P.O. Box 1673

Southgate, MI 48195

*no cash donations please.

Make checks payable to ATVOC. In the memo line of your check, please write "donations for sue."

Owner of the HillCrest Lounge, who is holding the benefit dinner is also accepting donations for Sue:

Those who cannot make the Sunday dinner, but would still like to make a donation, can send it to Terry McLean, Hillcrest Lounge, P.O. Box 67, Rose City, MI 48654.

It was on 9 & 10 or 7 & 4 news up here in TC. I searched the news archives and couldn't find anything though. I'll search the Record Eagle.

Please Stand By.
