Is an X-Ring worth it?

Recommended Posts

Once the chain has warmed up there is not any more drag. I have ironman sprockets and the DID VM Xring chain and did not notice any difference at all.

Thanks! I've been considering the exact chain and sprocket set but wasn't sure because I don't know anyone who's run the VM.

Its a great match... only have 15 hours on the set, but the sprockets havent worn at all and the chain hasnt stretched at all... the stockers were junk at hour 10 when the chain snapped.

do you need a wider chain guide in the rear to run the x rings? i heard some bikes have problems with the wider chains.

Is a X-ring chain worth the extra money and what is the difference?:applause:

IMO no. I've run (1) x-ring, for (1) day... gave it away. A properly maintained ERT will give you lots of good service.
