Me too... what a nightmare.

And as for yur near stock bike, POST IT UP.... it's not a show and tell, but also a WHO is WHO on the trail. Some guys have bikes that stand out, even if it's just number plate backgrounds or whatever.

Really nice bike chasejj ! Do you like that Akrapovic pipe as much as I like mine ? Doug

I love it. It's quiet. It weighs much less than stock. What's not to like?:applause:

Oh...and the CRFX flat out smokes my old KTM 525 in every way.

Red tank: post

Black tank: pre

If you get close enough to touch, you can still see areas that I have not cleaned off yet. l at least made sure the glue dried before riding (mostly). I've spent about 5 hours with about 5 more to go.

So Johnny, what does your bike look like when you're getting air time? I know you must have a picture or two of a 450X flying.

Yep, that is one good looking ride. I like the little extras you did for it to stand out. The graphic on the side number plate looks real nice. Where did you find those? Do you have a picture of it head on?

What tire are you running on the rear, looks beefy.

Funny that was the first thing I noticed too.

Here is mine.

      2005 CRF450X:
Stalled my bike on an uphill single track, tried to start it and it would not start. Pushed it off the mountain solo (took me 3+ hrs to cover 3.5 miles!). At home tried spark plug to frame to see if I get a spark and nothing. Not even on multiple plugs. I did see what I thought was a super weak spark for about a millisecond and then it was gone, no longer to be seen.
Before I pay for a new coil, how can I check it? What other pieces on this thing should I be checking for? I checked all the wiring and the main fuse near the battery. I have horn power and rear LED taillights working just fine. Bike wll not start with e-start or kick start of rolling it down a hill.

Has anybody purchased/used one of these Arrowhead IHA6017 cdi boxes??  I tried 2 different ones of these on a 1987 and 1994 XR200R, and the bikes won't even start.  Bikes just pop and backfire, had to put the old cdi's back on.  I noticed when I ordered the boxes they stated "advance ignition curves" in the specs.  The box is also much bigger than the stocker and won't fit in the rubber mount.  I didn't mess with moving around the timing to try and get these to work....I just sent them back.
