crf or yz

I can get either a brand new 06 crf250r or a brand new 06 yz250f for the same price. It is the hardest desicion I have no idea which one to get. I ride open stuff with jumps, maybe sometimes a few trails, and il go to the track ever once in a while. I know both have maintenance but I want one with good performance and reliability. Which one do you recommend that I get??? I also have this posted in the crf forum.

the yamaha will PROBABLE be more reliable then the honda

the honda's had problems in 04-05 with the valves and I have no idea if that was fixed in 06 or not?

You shouldn't have a problem with the YZF

I agree, you can't go wrong with any of the 250f's, they are all great, and in a test the setup of a bike could take it from first to last...

Just sit on and ride all of the bikes you are considering and see which one you like the best. and that is the best bike for you.

And all of the bikes will last if properly maintained, here in the yamaha forum I just read a post of a yamaha locking up and in the honda forum you will find the equal amount of problems, things just happen.

Pick one, every bike has its problems, but the Yammies do tend to have less problems...

I know this wont help you any, but with proper maintenance, they are both excellent bikes.

But like the guy said in your post on the honda section, if you ARE lazy about maintenance, the yzf may be more tolerant.
