Sprockets for Expert Model

Recommended Posts

Anyone located aftermarket sprockets for the Expert Model that INCREASE rear sprocket tooth count? I have managed to find that Moose is making a 14t front, but 56 is the largest rear I can find. I know it shares the rear sprocket with the CR85, but 56 is as large as I can find for that model also.

Try Sprocket Specialists, if they don't have anything, I believe they have blanks that they can drill to match your hubs. Good Luck.

Renthal is showing a 58T rear for an '07 CRF150R.

The CRF150R also shares the same rear sprockets as the CR85.

I'm still waiting on a 14t Renthal Ultralite front.

I am running 15/49 and the low gear is still very low, I only use 2nd gear on the slowest corners, and only use 1st to get going.

And even with the higher gearing it still easily runs over 60 MPH in top gear. Going lower than stock made the gear spacing very close and forced more shifting.

Planning on arenacross or trail riding?

Thanks, I'll check Renthal. Son is running a tight, technical track that is close to arenacross in style.

Let me know what you find out about the Renthal 58T rear. I mainly trail ride so was looking for that low end power? I want to do the chain at the same time. Any recommendations on what chain people went with?

Thanks,

Brian

I recently ordered the moose 14t front sprocket. I'll give a ride report when i get it installed and try it out.

Tried out the 14t front sprocket and it is a nice diference. I definetly recommend it because it is a cheap way to get great results.
