what overbore size easiest to install

I have a fairly stock xr4 that is needs some more oomph. I've been spoiled by a 440 with cam and need more power. From a machine shop point of view, which of the overbore sizes would be easiest to install, boring or sleeving? I live in Africa and dont have any access the mechanics or tools that are available in the US. I will do the install myself, with the exception of boring a cyclinder or installing a sleeve. So, which do you think has the least possibility of getting messed up, and which bore will give me obvious power increases?
