Touch the throttle, stall the bike

Recommended Posts

98 YZ400F. Hasn't been started since last fall. Gas tank was drained and bike run until it died to drain carb of gas before storing away for winter. Ran fine the last day I rode. New Big Gun pipe. Air screw at 1.5 out. If I try to raise the idle speed, bike won't start at all. If I turn choke off, it dies. If I crack the throttle, it dies. If I open up the hot start valve, it dies. The choke thing leads me to believe a clogged idle (pilot) circuit. But the throttle thing has me confused and I'm not sure what the effects of the new pipe would be. Any ideas?
