Question on a CR250 2003

Recommended Posts

I have a 2003 CR250. it seems to have a little hesitation as soon as I start to crack the throttle. I changed FMF spark arrestor and it got better. Now what adjustment to the carb do I need to make to make it even better?

If you move your clip position down will that make the bike respond faster? Moving the needle up allows more fuel to enter a jet faster?

Do you mean a 50cc. The stock main jet on a 250 is a 410.

Dude, you must be confused...a hole drilled 410 is almost big enough to drop a .177 caliber BB through!!

I highly doubt Kiehin makes one even near that size. I wasn't talkin 50cc im talk'n 500cc's, and a 200 jet is HUGE as in most of the nitrous/high compression motors in the hill climber bikes barely need a 200!! :applause:

I see what the deal is, you are using a TMX carb?? Sorry, I thought those ran a Kiehin, so Mikuni's numbering system must not be the size of the hole in the jet used like Kiehin?? Either that or the carb setup must need to flow a huge amount of fuel scompared to the same setup running a Kiehin...
