Proper piston size

Recommended Posts

hey guys, I am trying to buy everything for my top end rebuild before I start tearing things apart.

I am going to go with a Hi Compression JE Piston, now as for size I notice that they offer +1mm etc. Are you suppost to measure your cylinder before you order a piston incase the bore size has increased? Or is this for people who have modified their cylinders? Just don't want to buy a piston that will not work for me...

Thanks!

no you are not supposed to measure, the +1 mm is for if you get your cylinder bored out and replated for the larger piston (not worth it) so just get the stock 78mm size.

BTW I like the wiseco piston kits. and may I also suggest a High compression 13.5:1 piston also.
