Recommended Posts

I am changing the fork seals on my 2002 YZ250F and need to know how much oil goes in each fork. Any help would be great. :applause:

look at the manual. but if you dont have it, figure about 110mm from top of fork with it completely collapsed and no spring is a good starting point (this is adjustable from 80mm to 130mm or something like that) if you are looking for volume, you need to make sure the fork is clean and dry to get an accurate setting.

I am sure Mr Grey Racer will have an exact range for you in a few moments.:applause:

If you would have read this:

http://www.thumpertalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=54475

You would have found this:

http://www.yamahaownershandbook.com.au/?r=0

Which allows you do download the service manual for these bikes. 90% of your questions can be answered using the manual, and even when you ask questions, you still use the manual to supplement your answer (For instance, I had a problem with sputtering on my bike. I used the manual to check the CDI values to make sure it was ok)
