E series make your bike dirty?

Recommended Posts

I'm not worried about having a dirty bike, but should my E series cause my pipe and rear fender to turn black after every ride? I guess I'm not sure if the amount of carbon coming out of the baffles is normal or not? Anyone ride an e series and have a clean bike? Maybe my jetting is a little off, don't know.

thanks

Yep, my E'series used to make my fender real dirty/sooty too, thats not the reason i took it off though, it used to make my ears ring, but a guy in work has one on his xr600 & he had the same problem with it making the fender black with soot, but he's got some lil plate on the side of the disc's now to deflect the exhaust away from the fender, not sure if he made it or bought it :applause:

i have an e-series as well and my bike does this too... you can buy deflector plates that will prevent it.. also you can my end caps that will shoot the exhuast down
