i've been digging the forums for 144 info for a while

still have not found a dyno overlay of 125 vs 144

I'm really interested how they are when ported for bottom/mid, I'm a woods guy and I dont want to go up to a ktm 200

I got mine back but I am waiting for white shrouds and a white rear fender hhahaha. Everything else is done but have not started it yet.

if you look on ebay i have seen a lot of yz144 cylinder kits from athena showing up. i think right around $650

we got the athena one like 2 weeks ago, its a pain in the ass to do, especially if you dont have the right tools, to shave the cases, and pull out the crank, but im hopin for it to be a fast ass bike and reliable at the same time.

I have two '06 YZ125's. One has the Athena 144 kit and the other has the Eric Gorr 144 kit on it. The Athena kit definitely has more torque than a stock 125 but it doesn't rev out as much on top. The porting on the Athena 144 is the worst I have seen for a "works" cylinder as they advertise it. As far as power, there is no comparison between the Athena 144 and Eric Gorr's 144. Eric ported mine for more mid-to-top and it blows the Athena kit away all across the board. IMO, go with Eric's kit because it is well worth the money.
