Piston Comp Ratio?

Recommended Posts

I am looking at putting in a Wiseco Piston, and would like to know what other guys are using?

Standard Piston

12:1 Comp Piston

13:1 Comp Piston

What octane level of gas is required to run these psitons?

Let me know...

You can get away with 91 with either.

Although i save pump gas for the truck and the street bike. The CRF usually drinks VP Red.

the compression ratio. A piston with a 13:1 compression ratio is going to have more compression then a 12:1. Also known as a high comp. piston

I haven't even riden my bike yet, but when it's time for a new top end, it'll get an OEM piston.

I just put in a 13-1 weisco and it runs fine, there's a little more off the bottom but other then that not much difference.

I figure if there's probably some cylinder wear so it may help with blow by.

I just raced the Maui state race and got the hole shot 3 out of 4 motos.

I went from an 11:1 to a 12.5:1 in my 02 motor. Definately feel the difference. I run 91 pump gas.
