Duals on CRF250 give you more torque?

Recommended Posts

I thought that I had read somewhere that dual exhaust on the 06' and 07' gave more low end and flaten the top out some. Is this true?

In a dyno test that I have seen, the duals give you about 0.5 ft lb of torque more than the single, and a little less than 0.5 hp less than a single, so something that you would probably never notice.

i personally switched to the single, even after running a fmf dual setup because when riding it made the power come on harder and pull a little further. i never really pay attention to dynos until after ive ridden with something as well :applause:

How come guys are switching em to singles then.

Because on track, if you any good, you will be using your mid to top end powerband most of the time, therefore your hp is more critical at top end and you are less likely to need alot grunt at the bottom in lieu of top end.

to buy a single aftermarket is cheaper, but that is cool to see reason behind switching to dual--rather than sound and looks.
