We Need Waldhiem Back on the commission!!!!

Recommended Posts

The OHV commission, the group that controls our green and red sticker

money, recently had a member quit. This group consists of seven

appointed people all appointed by the California Governor. The OHV scales

are still tipped towards Anti-OHV people. I think all have read and witnessed

the downright craziness of what has come of our green sticker program.

We NEED a Pro-OHV person on this commission or our

green/red sticker money

will continue to go towards non-OHV agendas.

CORVA President and former member of the commission, Ed Waldheim is

willing to go back on the commission. We need to let Governor

Schwarzenegger know “WE WANT ED WALDHEIM BACK.”

We Need Ed Waldhiem Back on the Commission that controls OUR Green

sticker money period, Ed is a leader, the OHMVR needs the leadership and

direction it has been lacking to get back on track.

Please write, fax, Email, Phone the Governors office As

Soon As Possible!

It's too bad that Commissioner Michael F. Prizmich resigned. He was usually the least biased Commissoner at the meetings. But, if we can get Ed back on board, that would be GREAT!

The governor appointed Prizmich and therefore is responsible for replacing him. Let the Gov. know that the OHV community is backing the return of Ed Waldhiem!

Wayne, are the commisioners appointed by the governor, or voted in?

Funny you bring that up, I have been running around the dozen

or so web sites I posted this on to clarify that.

3 positions are Governor appointed (One of witch is now open)

2 appointed by Speaker of House

2 appointed by president of Senate

Dear Governor,

Please appoint Mr. Ed Waldheim to the vacant OHV seat. The program needs new leadership. The entire OHV community is disgusted with the way the OHV program is being handled as far as the miss-handling of funds, trail closures for no reasons while the trail system should be expanding to meet California demand.

Alot needs to change to make the OHV program right, Mr. Waldheim knows what needs to be done.

Sincerely,

Gregg Healy

The OHMVR Commissioners are appointed for a 4 year term. At the end of that term, they can still serve without being reappointed. That is the case with commissioner John Brissenden.

As of Jan. 2006, all three of the governors appointments had termed out so there were three positions to fill. The OHV community had lobbied to get Mark McMillan appointed to one of the positions.

Email sent. Right on, Wayne-Dude!

Funny thing is, "Waldheim" in German means "Woods (or forest) - Home".

So he's at home in the woods, on his bike! :applause:
