Clarke Tank/FCR Choke Fix

Recommended Posts

I came up with an alternate solution to the FCR/Clarke Choke Problem:

garage.php?do=viewattachment&attachmentid=37017

garage.php?do=viewattachment&attachmentid=37016

The new choke is off a 2003 CRF450R. The barrel is slightly longer, but the diameter is the same. It results in it working fine, but the rod sticks out little farther than the stock one when when the choke is off.

It is Honda  Part# 16046-MEB-671. It'll run you about $20 to your door.

Be Warned: The lever is harder to pull out with the small knob, but for a bolt-in im pretty satisfied. :applause:

Let me know what you think!

You  people from AZ, with your nice weather and year round riding..... All this mountain snow is killing me up here in WA.

I could get it started if it wasnt too cold (with some help from the accel pump), but its nice to have those easy starts back. :applause: Happy Trails!
