spark plug is white on the tip and black on the bottom

Recommended Posts

im riding a '06 crf450r. what does it mean when the spark plug is white at the very tip and black at the bottom near threads? the bike is running very good but i am wanting to make sure im not to rich or lean..is it just right? there is a noticeable (but not excessive) amount of dark/black exhaust in the silencer after a ride that can easily be wipped clean. what if any adjustments do i need to make .

thats what i wanted to hear. i just didnt want to foul a plug. its a pain in the @$$ to change them on this bike.....there is a slight blurp/hiccup when you acclerate hard after coming out of a turn or 0% throttle to 1/2---3/4 throttle...is this just a turn or two if the pilot screw?
