Trails near Conconully

Recommended Posts

In the Summer of 2005 I was driving around Conconully on a black bear photography expedition and came across what looked like an ORV trailhead. I drove up a paved road out of Conconully and about the point it turned to gravel the trailhead began.

Does anyone have information about this place?

There is some riding out of Conconelly. Seems like we got a map at the store in town. My brother and I rode out of town one day and ended up at the top of a nearby Mt. The trail up it was without a doubt the hardest trail I have ever ridden. It made the Eniat, Blewwit Pass, Manastash stuff look like a cake walk. It was steep, overgrown, lots of winfall and about two inches wide. Very challenging and fun.

We used to go to Conconully every summer growing up, It is kind of a quiet little place now that no one comes to the State Park anymore. The State decided to lower the level of the lake and the State park now is along way from the lake. Lots of country over there with very few people
