swapping crf 150 for crf 230 head custom bbk??

I was thinking could i make the 150 into the 230 just buy buying the head and pistons? Would there need to be any poring and matching and what abou the valve train?

The CRF150 can easily be built into a CRF230. All of the neccesary parts are available through Honda, and they will BOLT together.

FYI, the head is not one of the items you will need to aquire! The cylinder heads between the two bikes are almost identical, and your CRF150 head will work fine if you decide to perform the upgrade. I have converted many!

Be prepared to shell out some serious cash however. You will need to spend in the area of @ $1000 for everything you need.

Makes the extra $500 for new bike price for a CRF230 over the 150 seem cheap by comparison.

Your kick start gears may fail if you do this upgrade as well.

if im not mistaken coeshow makes a HD kick gear.

Buy a 06-07 CRF150F and put a 225 kit in it. No kick start gears and you get electric start. We have over 100 hours on our motor that Engines Only built and it still runs strong with no starter problems.

The CRF230 engine will bolt in. Problem is it is e-start only. Your CRF150 would need a bunch of other parts to support e-start.

Can anyone give me a straight or short answer if a Honda CRF 230 2008 cylinder head will fit onto a 2004 CRF 150F model. Thanks for a clean answer
