150/230 pipes

Recommended Posts

Just bought a used T4 complete system for $100. off a 150 to put on my wifes 230, I was told they were the same, it bolted up perfect. Now I see in catalogs different part numbers for each bike. Are they different, and how. Did I screw up? Thanks

I have no experience with that pipe, but our BBR's have the same number. I think you are ok on this.

It mounts up.

It runs great.

Dammit, ride it like you stole it.

The only thing I wondered was if the 230 pipe had a bigger head pipe.

i want the d-section BBR kit for mine

the only different between the D and the regualr is the price and the D is higher mounted because its meant to be a race pipe.

for $70 i dont think its worth it =\

i do believe the T-4 and the BBR have tapered heads.

No difference in the stock pipes. You didn't screw up.

After market pipes might have different pipes because the port location is about 1/4 inch higher on the 230. Honda knows it's not necessary.

It's less than 1 degree difference.

Put some Hi-temp RTV on the exhaust manifold port/head pipe interface.

Have fun with it! :applause:

Thanks for the imput. It bolted up perfect, why PC uses different part numbers I don't know. I need to get the quiet tip, this thing is louder than my 450. Thanks again.

hahaha. Toast,

It looks like you were thinking the same thing I was. "Why won't anyone give this guy an answer to his question." hahaha That was sort of funny.
