XR100 Sagging Rearend

Recommended Posts

I've got an '89 XR100 with a sagging rearend... What are my options for increasing the rear shock travel and/or raising the seat height? The old shock and spring are pretty much worn out. Mostly this bike is for my daughter for trail riding, but my son also uses it for wheelie practice up and down the court. Is it possible to replace the rear shock w/ a CR80 or other shock?

Anything is posible Andy..... if you throw enough $$$ at it. I wanted to put a cr80 shock on my crf100 but I gave up. Its going to be way to hard because the cr shock is about 4" to long. You would need to seriously modify the frame to make a cr80 shock work.

Works makes a great shock but is cost more than i'm willing to spend, it won't raise the seat hight either.

For seat height there are aftermarket suspension linkage http://www.*******************/

or

Aussie lift it. http://www.thumpertalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=397901&highlight=aussie+lift

I'm probably going to try and build a new link when I get some time off. I'll get the measurments then I'll go talk to my machinist budy.:applause:
