Lock Tite?

Recommended Posts

who uses it and where do you use it on your bike?

i use in on my lever perches which i do not tighten up all the way so they move before they break.

i also use it on my shrouds but im not sure if i need to - anyone have any input?

I use Red on parts that I know I will not be taking off on a regular basis and blue on things I will take off after every ride. But i pretty much use it everywhere!

Exactly. Same here.:applause:

It doesn't take a whole lot to work. I just usually put on 1 bolt and wipe the excess onto some of the other bolts as I put stuff back on the bike. I can't think of many bolts that I don't use locktite on.

Front brake rotor mounting bolts. 8.5 ft. lbs is the torque really low value for such an important bolt. Loctite is spec'd.

I would not use any loctite on the radiator shroud bolts that might cause them to freeze up and the tank inserts to spin eventually. I use anti-seeze compound on those instead.
