amount of gas to run for a moto

So, I would be trying to save as much as weight as possible while racing so I'm trying to get an general idea of how much gas would be the lowest but enough to run for an moto. Would 2 20oz soda bottles full with gas be enough for an entire moto? thanks in advance

I'm just wondering what would be the lowest ideal amount of gas to run because when you add up, gas can be really heavy

I don't see why you wouldn't want a full tank, but if you do want to save weight put in a half a tank minimum

Gas only weighs about 6 1/2 pounds per gallon. I always just fill it up before I leave home.

i think he's talking about how much he would need for racing 1st moto

and 2ed moto....i would say 4 cups gas.

i agree i usually put 1/2 to 3/4 tankful of gas during an practice but im speaking of an acutal RACE where weight savings mean something

Depends on how long your moto's are. Ibe raced 22+ minute moto's and also arenacross' where you're not even on the track 5 minutes. The only time I fill all the way up before a race is at WORCS races where I'm on the track for over an hour at a time....

Do a full tank. Make sure your sag is measured with the full tank. Think about the suspension- there is a huge weight difference and you don't want your sag off.
