Fork protection

Forks have many causes for seal failure. Dirt being one. I have the inverted forks with OEM guards protecting the front of the exposed cylinder. Would it be beneficial to install fork boots to stop dirt from accumulating on the cylinder and being driven into the seals?

Yes, specifically, something like Seal Skinz or Seal Savers, Seal Savers being slightly thicker, my choice.

I just went to my dealer and asked him to get me some seal savers . He , for some silly reason , got a brand called Dirt Savers . Same principle , same neoprene , they have a velcro closure running vertically .?

Any way ... seeing how I was waiting on these to reassemble my forks , I took em . They work fine . I'm just not too crazy about the longevity of the silly velcro .

You will also luv what they do to your fork tubes.

My tubes got mared bad after a 6 hour ride.....so I thru them away....oh, btw my oem seals still leaked....and i have tried them all. So far the synergy seals are the best!
