Running a 00' XR80 in a Hare Scramble ?

Recommended Posts

Just wondering how a XR80 would hold up in a Hare Scramble for my son in a hare scramble in Iowa ? He is 9 years old and he would be running it in the under 10 .

Anyone run a small XR in a harescramble before ?

Thanks,

Raz

Not an XR but my son used to race a TTR90 in the 65cc beginner class bike did fine it was not able to compete against the 65's but lets you find out if your kid will be a racer or not

Did he run hare scrambles or moto cross ? If it was harescrambles, I didn't know they had a 65cc class.

Thanks,

Raz

I had to pass an XR100 with my XR400 in the C class. :applause:

The fact I had to pass him after crashing in the mud was the bad part.

Unless there are some big hills, he should do fine in his class.

I'll bet he could kill it with an xr 80 if he is little. we hare scramble in Ca. a littel billy goat like the xr 80 could win if it is tight, mucky terrain. my wife raced an xr 100 in beginner womans and the bike did great. if you ride one aggressively you could win that class.its not all about top speed as much as rideability. good luck
