can someone please help me with airfilter

hello i just bought a twinair air filter for my 2006 crf250r..

the stock air filter has the rubber mounting on the filter to seal the grease on soo dirt doesnt get in the boot. but the twin air has no rubber piece. do i just grease the air box where the filter goes on and just put the filter on?????????? some one please help me im confused

I just grease my twin-air, and I have found that the quality and fit and finish is quite a bit better than the stocker IMO, just make sure you do not buy the twin-air dustcover, they look like the airfilter, but are just a thin covering that goes over T-Air filter.

NoToil filters are better than twin air in my opinion. if you look at the twin air filter you will notice that you can see through the filter. in my opinion, if i can see through it...dirt can get through it. i used the twin air and noticed that inside the airbox is a very fine dirt coating...very minimal but still cant be good for the engine. i wiped it clean and used a notoil filter. no dirt after riding all day on a very dry day. but if you still choose twin air, definately put grease around the ring, it helps a lot.
