New Bike Hauler

Recommended Posts

For the first time since the 1980 Corduroy Enduro :applause: I'm returning to racing. Found a nice 2002 YZ250f and needed something to haul it with. Voila...2006 Ranger FX4. You can relax; no questions like... "can I haul 2 Maicos and an Ossa in the back of my International Scout"? But, the price of bed extenders is crazy! I'll post pics when I finish my plastic version.

Looks nice!

What did you have to give for it, how many miles, and what powertrain???

TT store sells a bed extender/folding ramp that is $225. http://shop.thumpertalk.com/catalogs/Western_Power_Sports_Offroad_2006/default.asp?p=189&s=2

The Level II FX4 only comes with the 4.0L engine. I took over a lease at a really low price (wife works at the dealership). We needed another vehicle in the household and otherwise, I was going to have to buy a trailer and put a hitch on the Escape.

Maybe I'm old school, but $225 to get the bike into the truck and hold the stuff in seems like alot, though I suppose it has some "bling" factor to it. I figure the ramp issue is easy to solve with a plank. I made a plastic bed extender over the weekend that I think will work out fine. I'll post some pics today. As it may be of interest to others, I'll start a new thread when I get the pics.
