Foot Peg "pin hole" repair?

Recommended Posts

I thought I have seen a kit that you drill out the hole in your frame for the foot peg cotter pin and install a bushing to repair it so it is no longer sloppy.

Has anyone seen this kit, or what have you done to get rid of the slop in your foot peg hole?

I have rebuilt my foot peg hole. I ground off the end of the mount and then took a much larger hardened bolt and welded it onto the mount. Then I ground it down to size and drilled a new hole into the bolt. I would take pictures but I am not good at posting pictures.:applause: I also do not use the stock pins or pegs, I use hardened bolts and lock nuts actually a bit bigger than stock pins. You will also probably need to build up the foot peg stop that keeps your peg from going to far up. It is really not that hard and I did mine about 4 years ago and have not had any problems since.
