Rev Box??

Recommended Posts

Which is best? Big gun, Procom, etc, etc,? I've heard bad things about the procom one on an ATV forum. ANd do you need to modify the engine at all? Example: Valve springs, carburation, timing, etc. And are they worth it?

:applause:

None of those. All total waste of money.

A E CDI gives you 500 more RPM. Vortex makes a nice unit but expensive and a pain to have programmed. Eddie also has a much less expensive version.

If you are going to run the rev's out of your bike, you should think about RHC valves and springs. Also, you may need to open the air box which in turn requires a rejet. Coulda/Shoulda got a FCR.

Gotta ask, but why does a drz need a higher rev limit when peak power is between 7 and 8000 revs, and is not usable past 9500 anyway?

Good question. The only advantage is the ability to hold the revs a little more say in a corner, possibly enabling you to not have to shift. If you are in 1st or 2nd, it can make a difference saving that .15 sec in race.
