Special tools to get clutch off? xr70

Recommended Posts

I need to replace the shiftshaft on my kid's bike. It looks like I'll have to remove the clutch to pull the bent one out. Do I need any special pullers, sockets, etc., to get the clutch off? Thanks.

You will need a clutch socket no matter what. I would highly recommend that you get an impact driver. It is like a screw driver but when you hammer on it, an internal mechanism makes the tip turn. It's is one of the best tools you'll ever buy, second only to a flywheel puller.
