Throttle cable like Banjo wire!

Recommended Posts

i had my nephew run my 50 into a tree and bend the front end

i put it all back together now and the cable is like a banjo wire

I think i have it routed correctly straight off the carb through the wire holder in the side of hte frame, through the triple tree and around to the throttle. I looked at the little service manual I got with it and it looks right.

Any thoughts??

just go back through and try it in a couple new routes, no big problem there

Figured out the issues. Cable is tightest when you turn full to the right. after looking everything over I notice the the steering stop (piece of metal welded to frame) is broken off, probably from when my nephew hit the tree. This caused the front end to turn to far hence causing the cable to pull like a banjo string!
