Leatt brace fitment

Recommended Posts

I'm trying to adjust the brace for my stature. It comes with small medium and large "pins" as they're called that position the front part farther or closer. With the pre-installed medium pins my chin can touch my chest. With the small pins my chin hits the brace. Which is correct?

I feel I have mine adjusted correctly.....Without my helmet on, my chin just barely rubs on the front. It took me about an hour of switching back and forth between the adjusters to get mine right, but its perfect now.

It seems to me that fitting it without your helmet on is of little use. The helmet is part of the 'system' in that it will contact the brace at the chin and stop the head/neck with the chin strap...?

I agree. The helmet must be on when fitting. If you think it fits perfectly in your living room without the helmet, you're going to be in for a rude awakening on your first ride.

I would definitely take the allan wrench with you on your first couple of rides. You may need to fiddle with the adjustment.
