easier way to grease linkage

Recommended Posts

i was thinking today that it would be easier to regrease the linkage if you put grease zurks on each bearing(those similar to steering components on snowmobiles or some suspension on the front end of cars) i think you could position them so that they wouldnt bind with the suspension and the linkage could be greased much easier then before. any thoughts you have put em down im open to any suggestions.

Check out bikes more than 10 year old or dual sport bikes, most of them have grease nipples fittedfrom new.

they were phased out because "supposedly" new suspension bearings are made better and dont need grease...yeah right!...and the other theory i heard was that when you pump new grease in it would go in a straight line from the nipple to the first place it can leak out of the seals, thus not getting much new grease on the bearings.

i hope this helps you with understanding why they aint on there. I still think i want to put them in my bike when i get time to do rear suspension bearings
