SUPERCROSS - Helping Fonseca

Helping Fonsi 3/29/2007

The following is from Progressive Insurance...

The Progressive Group of Insurance Companies, the nation’s largest motorcycle and third largest car insurance group, will give Ernesto Fonseca $3 for every quote that people get at its Supercross-dedicated Web site, HoleshotHeaven.com. It’s easy and takes just a few minutes: just visit the site, click “Get a Quote,” pick your vehicle – car, motorcycle, boat, or recreational vehicle – and complete the steps.

On March 7, 2006, Ernesto crashed while preparing for an upcoming Supercross race at a test track in California. He suffered a spinal cord injury and is now paralyzed from the chest down. For more information, visit www.ernestofonseca.com.

“Supercross fans were devastated last year when Ernesto was injured. We’re pleased to give people an opportunity to help him on his road to recovery and encourage all Ernesto supporters and Supercross fans to visit the site,” said Miriam Deitcher, director of advertising, Progressive. “The more people who get a quote, the more support we can lend to Ernesto; it can really add up so hopefully Supercross fans will spread the word!”

“I can’t thank Progressive enough for their efforts,” said Ernesto Fonseca. “I continue to receive so much love, encouragement and support from my family, friends and fans each and every day. Recovering from an injury like this is tough but knowing there are so many people out there willing to help means a lot.”

Progressive is a sponsor of the 2006-2007 Amp’d Mobile World Supercross GP/Amp’d Mobile AMA Supercross series and, as such, is the Official Insurance of Supercross and sponsor of the Holeshot award. This is Progressive’s second consecutive year as a sponsor.
