Soft springs

Recommended Posts

Are there any negatives to being undersprung for a riders weight? Strange handling being compensated for etc. I really don't want to hold my 250F rider back by being ignorant or stubborn about his suspension setup. We're running a 06 YZ250F with .38 fork springs and 4.0 rear spring with a 135lb rider. Was 120lbs last fall. He loves this bikes power, handling appears to be a match for his style. We aren't bottoming out on anything other than the really big stuff of course and the bike seems pretty stable. He loves it as is but I dont know if I should try to make sense of someones spring rate calculator and stiffen it abit or leave well enough alone till next suspension service. Any input muchly appreciated and sorry for the rambling. Thanx

Yes, i agree. The bike is only 5% of the equation, if the rider is happy GREAT!, don`t get him confused with unneeded changes, cause once he starts getting confused things becomes a nightmare:eek:

Watch out for day glow that don`t go!! lots of unneeded gimmicks out there

......:bonk:
