'06 CRF250X Mod's Complete and WOW - what a difference!

Recommended Posts

I absolutly cannot believe the difference a few hours work produced! The bike hauls ass now with ZERO bog and total snap off the line!

Here's what it took:

JD jetting kit (thanks James for the advice!)

#160 main jet

#42 pilot jet

2 1/4 turns out on the ZipTy fuel mixture screw

Red marked needle in the 5th from top clip position

Thicker O-ring on the accelerator pump linkage

Boyesen QuickShot AP cover

PowerNow and PowerNow+

Air box mod

Removed screen on air filter

TwinAir air filter

Drilled out baffle on stock pipe

Pink wire mod (thanks Rick Ramsey!)

Thanks also to AgentSmith for the help and couldn't have done it without the TT website-you guy's rock!

Next up, installing the Rekluse clutch and perch adapter.

Nice 'this is what I did' post. I have the same bike. Now if I can just get over my fear of putting the subframe up and digging the carb out, maybe I can say the same thing :bonk:

I was pretty intimidated ripping the frame apart too, but every time a question came up, I found the answer here on TT. Trust me, it's a 'piece of cake'!

I have made the identical adjustments to my 05CRF250X with the exception of the Boyesen Quick Shot. Can you determine the help that it contributed to your performance gains?
