Compression querey

Hi have asked this question before but just wanted to double check

Iv got a 12.5:1 440 big bore kit on the way but i need to get a base gasket.

Of course i want as high a compression as possible but need to be able to run it on pump fuel approx 95 rating.

My bike has hotcams int&ex stg2(ithink) or the original 1s, and the cvk40 carb

Does any1 know if this set-up will run on pump gas with the E base gasket?

If i need to get the S gasket will i lose much performance compared to using the E?

Mine ran great with the E gasket, even on crap tesco fuel.

Better than on high test.

I have the Athena 440 Big Bore kit sitting in my garage but before I install it tomorrow, I have a question I believe somebody will easily answer.

I assume that using an E base gasket instead of the 2-ply gasket included in the Athena kit should give me a little higher compression than the advertised 12.3, correct?

Can the included piston handle that kind of comp or do I have to get a high comp piston?

The piston will be fine.

With the higher compression all you need to worry about is fuel quality.

Is the single-ply gasket that came with the athena 440 kit same as the E base gasket?

I compared them and they look identical. The 3-ply gasket is identical with the S gasket.

Can anyone tell me what the compression with the hi comp piston would be with the 3 layer gasket? And with the one layer gasket?
