05 shock valving for off road

Recommended Posts

I'm replacing the seals on my shock, and while I have it apart I was wondering if any of you suspension gurus had an idea for valving improvements for my shock.

05 CRF450R

6ft 190lbs

B class hare scramble/GNCC

C class moto

It does pretty good I think, maybe a little kicky.

When my fork seals wear out, I'm planning on doing the rg3 revalve found in one of the other threads.

Here`s the 05 crf450"X" shock stacks, courtesy of "Bryce" a while back.

Maybe they will help.:bonk:

rebound on the "R" probably good for the woods. maybe pull a couple/three of the 44x.2`s from the compression side and run you HS adjuster on your shock at 2.5 turns out. Something to start with........:naughty:

Worked great at Durham Town 2 months ago. I helped "Bobb" and "Jack" with their bikes, local guys from up there in Georgia. Maybe you know them as the have perminant camping spots at Durham. This shock made the uphill triple on track "MX 2" at least 50 times that trip, what a rush!! Worked good in the woods too.
