Hey guys, I just bought an FMF Titanium 4 for my 426.? When I went to buy it at the dealer, the guy said there are 2 lengths 14 and 17 inch. I bought the 14 inch because it was cheaper. The guy said the 14 inch will be louder though. The shorter the muffler the louder it usually is. Is that true?

Yes, you should have bought the 17, IMO.

Yes, shorter is louder. IMO take it back and get the 17", it gives great low end power versus the top end you get for the shorter unit. And it is a DB or two quiter which is always a good thing.
