MY nephew joined the navy and left his wr at my house with no books or anything. I need to know how to check and change the oil.

let us know what year it is that would help. there is a sight glass on the left side next to the shifter on the newer models. to change the oil just take off the skid plate and take out two bolts not very hard. will go into more detail depends on the year.

my nephew thinks it is an o4 but there is no sight glass, were the sight glass should be there is a small plate.

You dont need to take off the skid plate. Just follow what it says on Thumper Faq and you should be good:thumbsup:
