2004 TC450 seized engine

Recommended Posts

Nice discussion about reliability and valve trains, but let me remember you that the problem on my bike wasn't valves but conrod assembly.

I checked the valves as the engine was completely put apart and they show no signs of any damage or failure.

I still don't know why the bottom failed.

By the way, I had a very good service from Jeff at Hall's Cycles.

Regards,

Salva

The Crankcase bearings, connecting rod and piston are all scheduled to be replaced after 10,000km on the 2007s. I'm not sure if the 2004 interval is the same, but I can't imagine it being a whole lot different. Depending on how much you ride, it might have just been time to do all that stuff.

That doesn't make it suck any less though... Sorry to hear about your bike, man. ?
