oil drain bolt fell out - threads still in

My last ride on my 06 450 the oil drain bolt by the shifter fell out. I stopped riding thinking the bolt just fell out and I would order a new one. Got my new magnetic drain bolt from Thumpertalk today and went to put it in and it won't thread. Upon closer examination it seems there is some of the threads in from the old drain bolt. Is there a easy way to get out these threads or do I need to go to the local repair shop? Thanks.

buy a tap.. not sure what the size and thread pitch is but you should be able to find that in the manual. You could also use a dentist type pick and pick the threads out.
