Overheating Problem-KX250f

Recommended Posts

This weekend I went to the sand dunes. First, ride all season. This winter I installed a DynoJet Jet Kit. I already had a procircuit GP system and twin air filter. I installed the jets recommended for altitudes lower than 3000ft and performance exhaust. While at the dunes i noticed everytime I would come back from riding there would be a couple of drips below the carburator. At the end of the day I was waiting to get on the dunes (i was idiling a long time) my bike overheated. My first question is with the few drops of gas coming out of the overflow should i change my pilot settings and fuel mixture screw or is this normal? Second question, is my bike leaning out if it overheated or did it overheat because it doesnt have a cooling fan and there was no air passing thru the radiator since it was idiling? The bike ran real well all day and had no problems from it overheating until I was idiling.
