Thats an awesome road.  Some great views up there.  While you are in the area check out sandwich notch road for a cool backroad.  Its pretty rough but would be a blast on a DR-Z.  I don't remember how close it is to the Kancamagus but its my favorite road easy.  I gotta get my bike up there one day.
