I'm thinking about attending this ride. First, where is California Hot Springs? Any motels near by? What kind of conditions should I expect and do you have any special prep conditions?

This is one of the best dual-sport events I've ridden, with awesome scenery and some very challenging courses if you opt for those routes. The entire area closes down to all vehicles on Jan. 1, 2001. We can thank the radical enviros for that. Please register and vote your conscience this November!
