2006 YZ250 - Elevation Change

Hi there,

Would like to know what is recomended for elevation change

Bike - 2006 YZ250 (2-Stroke)

MJ - 178

PJ - 45

Needle 2nd slot from top

Current Elevation 2000 feet

Current Temp 100 to 115

Going up to 7000 feet

Temp - 90 to 100

lol, I had the same .

For you guys seeking answers...

When I go up to the Sierras (3-7000'+depending ) I like a 165 main, JD red needle in 2nd groove, 42 pilot, 1.5-1.75 turns on the air screw. 40:1 premix ratio. For a min. 4000', you can probably go a little more on the air screw.

I've done multiple plug chop tests on those settings in 75-95+ degree weather and they were about perfect.

I'm curious to hear Eddie's recommendation as well.

Forgot to add that I've got a Boyesen rad valve as well. I don't remember if it wants the mixture leaner or richer.
